Our Mission
Empowering the Hindu American community through civic excellence and democratic participation.
At the Hindu Democratic Club of America, our mission is to protect the rights, dignity, and cultural identity of Hindu Americans while strengthening their voice in American democracy.
Hindu Americans have contributed deeply to the United States as physicians, engineers, entrepreneurs, educators, public servants, innovators, community leaders, and families committed to the American dream.
Yet too often, Hindu Americans face prejudice, cultural erasure, religious misunderstanding, workplace bias, and political underrepresentation.
We exist to change that.
We believe every Hindu American deserves to live freely, practice openly, participate fully, and thrive proudly in this nation without fear of discrimination or misrepresentation. Rooted in dharma and guided by democratic values, HDCA works to ensure that Hindu Americans are recognized, respected, and represented in policy, law, education, media, and public life
What We Stand For
01
Civil Rights Protection
We advocate for stronger legal and policy protections against hate crimes, harassment, workplace discrimination, religious intolerance, and bias targeting Hindu Americans. We believe anti-Hindu hate must be recognized, addressed, and prevented through meaningful civic and legal action.
02
Cultural Representation
We work to ensure that Hindu traditions, festivals, history, and perspectives are represented accurately and respectfully in schools, media, public institutions, and civic spaces. Hinduism is one of the world’s oldest living traditions, and it deserves dignity, accuracy, and fairness in public discourse.
03
Democratic Engagement
We mobilize Hindu Americans to participate actively in the democratic process. Through voter education, civic awareness, local chapter engagement, and support for leaders who respect our community’s values, we help build lasting political power for Hindu Americans across the United States.
04
Coalition Building
We believe the fight against bigotry is strongest when communities stand together. HDCA partners with interfaith, multiethnic, and civil rights allies to oppose discrimination in all forms and advance a truly pluralistic America where every community can live with dignity.
Why Our Mission Matters
Hindu Americans are an essential part of the American story. They contribute billions to the economy, serve in critical professions, build businesses, strengthen neighbourhoods, and enrich the nation’s cultural and spiritual life.
But contributions must be matched with recognition. Success must not be used to silence discrimination. Representation must not be tokenized. Religious freedom must not be treated as optional.
HDCA is committed to ensuring that Hindu Americans are not only seen for what they contribute but also protected for who they are.
Our Commitment
We are committed to defending civil rights, advancing cultural dignity, strengthening democratic participation, and building a future where Hindu Americans can proudly live their faith, heritage, and values without prejudice or erasure.
- Together, we stand for equality.
- Together, we stand for representation.
- Together, we stand for a stronger, inclusive America.
