HDCOA Stands for Religious Freedom and Equal Rights for Minorities in Bangladesh
The Hindu Democratic Club of America (HDCOA) recently joined community members at a public demonstration highlighting concerns surrounding the rights, safety, and religious freedom of minorities in Bangladesh.
Participants carried messages calling for justice for minorities, equal rights, and freedom of religion. Several signs also called attention to the case of Chinmoy Prabhu, reflecting concerns expressed by demonstrators regarding religious freedom and the treatment of minority communities.
The demonstration brought together people from different backgrounds who gathered to raise awareness and publicly express their concerns. The event captured community members standing together, carrying signs, engaging with fellow participants, and drawing attention to the issues they believe deserve greater public awareness.
Among the messages were:
- “We Demand Justice for Minorities in Bangladesh”
- “We Need Equal Rights for All Minorities in Bangladesh”
- “Justice Cannot Have a Religion”
- “We Want Freedom of Chinmoy Prabhu”
For HDCOA, civic participation includes creating space for communities to speak about issues affecting religious freedom, minority rights, and human dignity.
The organization continues to document community engagement and encourage informed civic dialogue around issues affecting Hindus and other minority communities.
